A Cased Pair of Officers Pistols with their Original Holsters

With 9¼inch round 18 bore sighted barrels engraved “D. Egg London” on the top flats, single platinum lines and platinum touch holes, engraved tangs, flat signed bevel edged stepped tail locks with safety bolts also engaging the frizzens, walnut full stocks with typical Egg chequering to the butts, iron furniture including engraved butt caps and trigger guards with pineapple finials, original ramrods both with worms, one horn tipped the other with powder measure, London proof marks; in their original oak case with accessories including a red leather covered three way flask, turn screw, ball mould and loading rod, the interior of the lid with maker’s trade label, the exterior with D shaped brass carrying handle; complete with their original pommel holsters.

Note: These pistols apparently belonged to captain Simon Pepper (1781-1813) – no relation to Sergeant with a lonely hearts’ club band!
