With browned twist swamped octagonal sighted barrels with serial numbers stamped on the underside, case-hardened patent breeches each with gold line and gold-lined touch-hole and maker’s gold poincon and each struck ‘HN Patent’, finely engraved case-hardened tangs, signed and engraved flat bevelled case-hardened bolted locks each with detent, roller and semi-rainproof pan, figured walnut full stocks with serial number in ink under the barrels, swelling chequered butts with a plain flat on each side, finely engraved blued iron mounts including trigger-guards with pineapple finial, blued set triggers, case-hardened trigger-plates, original horn-tipped ramrods each with worm and most of their original finish throughout including the internal lock parts: in their green baize lined and fitted oak case with accessories including brass mounted three way powder flask, pewter oil bottle, ball mould and cleaning rod, the interior of the lid with maker’s trade label, the exterior with recessed D shaped brass carrying handle.  London proof marks.
