A high quality rebuild from flintlock with 26 inch rebrowned sighted barrels inscribed JOSEPH MANTON LONDON on the rib, finely engraved tang with floral scrolls and a sunburst, signed border engraved locks with game scenes and floral embellishment, the unusual dog’s head hammers with profuse engraving en suite, highly figured walnut half stock with crisp chequering to the wrist and forend, engraved iron furniture including butt plate with depiction of a running hare, trigger guard bow with a hound putting up a partridge and trigger plate with finely engraved pineapple finial, engraved silver forend cap, brass mounted ram rod, grip safety removed.

Notes: This delightful little gun is in excellent working condition with very good internal bores. LOP 13 7/8 inches, weight 6 lbs 2 oz. It handles like a wand!
