With 31inch sighted browned twist barrels signed on the rib, colour hardened border and scroll engraved breeches, inlet with platinum maker’s stamps, the undersides stamped with serial number repeated on the breeches, London proof marks and barrel makers mark CL (Charles Lancaster) platinum lined touch holes, colour hardened and scroll engraved tang, colour hardened border and scroll engraved signed locks, each stamped internally with serial number figured walnut half stock with chequered fore-end and wrist, red leather cheek piece stuffed with horse hair and trimmed with braided silver ribbon, vacant rectangular white metal escutcheon set behind the tang, border and scroll engraved steel mounts with good traces of original blued finish, scroll trigger guard, brass mounted wood ramrod. This gun retains most of its original brown and case colour hardened finish with good traces of blue with very good bores.
