Each gun with 29½ inch browned damascus twist sighted barrels numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ respectively and signed in full along the rib, case-hardened breeches engraved with symmetrical scrollwork, platinum line and pierced platinum plug, foliate scroll engraved tang, signed border engraved case-hardened flat locks stamped internally with their serial number and dolphin hammers, figured half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, border engraved blued steel mounts comprising butt-plate engraved with foliate scrollwork and blackcock in a landscape on the tang numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ respectively , trigger-guard with foliage en suite and a pointer in a landscape on the border engraved bow, trigger-plate with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheons, and much original finish; in a two tiered mahogany case with accessories including a pair of powder flasks, a pair of shot flasks, cleaning rods etc, the interior of the lid with maker’s trade label of William Moore & William Grey, the exterior with circular brass carrying handle surrounding a crest.
