With 32 inch browned sighted barrels engraved on the top rib “John Manton & Son DOVER STREET”, engraved recessed breeches with two platinum lines and platinum touch holes, finely engraved long tang curved to take the significantly cast off stock, engraved locks signed in script “John Manton & Son PATENT”, swan neck cocks, signed steels and patent (No. 3942) V-shaped pans, figured walnut cross-over stock allowing shots from the right shoulder with a left master eye, finely engraved blued trigger guard and butt plate numbered 2, pineapple finials to the trigger plate and ramrod entry pipe, brass mounted ramrod with capped wad removal screw. London Proof Marks. Retaining much of its original finish, this gun has seen very little use.
