With 10 inch octagonal browned sighted scratch rifled barrels inscribed “John Manton & Son Dover Street” on the top flats, engraved breeches with two platinum lines, finely engraved tangs incorporating the rear sights, flat bolted detented locks engraved en suite with the dolphin hammers and signed “Jn° MANTON & SON PATENT”, set triggers, figured walnut half stocks with chequered butts and horn fore end caps, blued trigger guards engraved with foliage and stylized pineapple finials, original brass tipped ramrods; in their original green baize lined mahogany case with accessories including three way powder flask, combined mallet/cleaning rod, ball mould, nipple wrench and spring clamp, the interior of the lid with maker’s trade label and the exterior with circular carrying handle.
