Each pistol with round sighted 9 ¼ inch barrel signed in script on the tapering sighting flat, engraved with a line of foliage at the breech, case hardened tang incorporating the rear sight engraved with foliage and a Britannia shield, case hardened bevelled edged detented lock signed in script and engraved with foliage on the stepped tail and cock with blued steel spring, figured full stock with swelling chequered butt and plain side flats, blued steel trigger guard with pineapple finial and bow engraved with foliage and martial trophies, blued ramrod pipes, silver wrist escutcheon engraved with owners monogram BW below the crest of Willington, original horn tipped ramrods, one with worm, both pistols in fine condition retaining much original finish: In their original lined and fitted oak case with accessories including brass mounted three way powder flask with ribbed body, turnscrew, ball mould and cleaning rod, the exterior of the lid with D shaped carrying handle and complete with canvas travelling cover with brass escutcheon engraved “ Francis Willington Esq.”, Tower private proof marks.
