With 30 inch highly figured twist barrels the rib inlaid with a gold arrow pointing to the fore sight and “T. Mortimer, London. Gun-Maker to His Majesty” in script at the breech with gold inlaid game scenes on each barrel and between two gold lines on the breech, finely engraved tang with gold inlaid sunburst, border and game scene engraved detented locks with further gold inlay around a shield inscribed with the maker’s name, French cocks, raised water proof pans and roller frizzens, walnut half stock (old repair beneath left cock) chequered at the wrist around a small gold escutcheon with a raised heraldic lion rampant reguardant (the Lion of England), iron furniture including butt plate with finely engraved tang, border and game scene engraved trigger guard, trigger plate with pineapple finial, ramrod with engraved steel tip.
